Because Ludacris is not a good role model.

I just saw a commercial…

July 28th, 2008 · No Comments

It is by far the most non-sequitur business I’ve ever seen.
Yes. Vacuums and Dragons. I can’t find any link on the internet other than an old article from the Best of the Springs.
What might they sell at this store? Well, vacuums is obvious…but dragons? How about a medieval sword along with that pack of bags [...]

Photos from said climb

July 27th, 2008 · 1 Comment

As I posted earlier, I did climb the incline today. It was about 20 minutes off my fastest, and certainly not shades of Matt Carpenter, who holds the record (despite a Sports Illustrated article to the contrary) at a 18:31 mark that hasn’t been updated since 2000, but he undoubtedly has toppled (rumors say less [...]

Mount Manitou Incline

July 27th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Just climbed the incline. Brutal. Blogging from the top. Technology is amazing. Time= 1:21:29. Not the best but I haven’t done it in like four something years.

I reiterate how much we need to know history

July 24th, 2008 · No Comments

Jay Tea has the lowdown. Honestly, if Obama is pandering to the Jewish vote that’s one thing, but if he really believes that it was the holocaust that brought is into WWII, there is going to have to be a talk. It is understandable for one to acknowledge they don’t know the reasons for something, [...]

Finally got to see the innards of my school

July 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

I’ve driven past my school many times. However, today I got to see the inside for the first time ever.
I knew they were redoing the place, but it’s insane how much they have to do yet. Supposedly there occupation date is going to be August 1. Those who are playing at home will note that [...]

Getting kids off the couch

July 21st, 2008 · No Comments

There’s a middle school teacher in Denver on a quest to get kids off their butts and get outside and do something. To get press for his cause, he decided to go to the 50 highest points in 50 states in 50 days. And to my Web 2.0 glee, he blogged it!
Yes, the high point [...]

Constitutional scholar…really?

July 21st, 2008 · No Comments

The gaffes just keep coming for the Messiah.
Yeah, Barack Obama was paid money to teach students about the constitution. Guess he didn’t actually read Article II, Section 1, and the 22nd amendment.
That or (and I don’t actually believe this) the democrats have some plans in the works to change some constitutional language.

This is why we learn history

July 20th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I’ve been there and it’s very impressive. Indeed at the time I didn’t know what it was about. But unfortunately, all monuments have a story.
If Barack keeps things like this up, he may just earn himself a place behind W. in the perception of IQ.

Nothing against them…

July 19th, 2008 · No Comments

But this commercial annoys the hell out of me. Not 100% why. It’s partially the snooty attitude about it. Partially the annoying drumming thing.
Whatever. I can’t afford their furniture anyway.
